HELP HELP HELP

Postby thetupeloflash » Sun Sep 11, 2022 7:16 pm

Please help , was hoping for a full day of practice....but having ANOTHER problem with Amplitube 5.

My problem is : when changing 'presets' there is no difference in sound. i.e presets do not work.
Same if i go onto ToneNet & try a preset there... my guitar sounds the same.

I am getting input / out put signals in both Axe I/O & Amplitube 5 Software & I can hear my guitar from my speakers

Please help , wasted a whole day on this :(

Two things to check:
1. Make sure you are using outputs 1 and 2 (not Amp Out) on the Axe I/O, and
2. Make sure the Monitor control on the Axe I/O is not all the way to the left (Direct)

Hope this helps and apologies if you have already tried this.

Thanks for the reply.

I was all the way to ‘direct’ I thought that was correct ?
What is meant by ‘ direct’ ?
When is this setting used ?

On most audio interfaces, including AXE I/O "Direct monitoring" means that the audio received by the interface is routed directly out to the monitors. This has zero or a minimal amount of latency, so you can hear what you play when you play it.

Of course this means that the audio is NOT sent to your computer (and therefore does not get to AmpliTube).

See Chapter 7 in the User Manual.
