Amplitube Macbook iPad and iRig Stomp

Is it possible to connect an iRig Stomp to a MacBook. Use an iPad to display the pedals but run Amplitube on the MacBook. So I just use the iPad as a display for the pedals.

you can use the apple sidecar function to mirror your computer display on your iPad

That I could if my preferable way to do it doesn't work.
