Monterey/M1 compatibility

Postby IKmarco » Sun Jun 05, 2022 5:05 pm

I’m about to buy a Mac Studio, which of course has the M1 chip and comes with MacOS Monterey

I would like to know what runs and doesn’t run on Monterey. I have found information on the sire about the M1 and about Big Sur, but almost nothing on Monterey compatibility.

Can someone from IKM or forum guru chip in please

Thanks

Marco

I just downloaded a5 Max onto my Mac book air with the m1 chip and Monterey and it has been running flawlessly. I did wait until yesterday and debated even doing it at all, but it looks like it turned out ok.

I only downloaded the manager and amplitube Max. Not the custom shop or anything else I have available, which I assume would work, but chose not to.

I've still never heard my m1pro fans. The only plugins that don't work for me have been rc20 retro colour, and camel crusher.

Camel crusher is old as balls so I'm not surprised by that one.

It's been crazy nice for me, but some people have run into issues. Just depends i guess

I've got a Macbook Pro with M1 Ultra, using iRig Pro DUO - I've noticed a bit more pickup hum than my old i7 Macbook Pro; wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

I can run Ableton, soft synths, and everything is very quiet, so it seems like an Amplitube 5 thing.
