glitch with AT5 Octave pedal?

Postby ehowe227 » Sun Mar 14, 2021 4:41 am

I am using the default AT5 octave pedal, and am having an issue where it won't hold the octave on notes with long(ish) sustain. If I let the note ring for more than a half second or so, it begins to bounce back and forth between octaves - like it's losing track of which octave the original note is in. I tried putting an EQ in front of the octave pedal to filter out all but the lower frequencies, but the issue persists. Any tips on how I can solve this? Thanks!

Sounds like it wants a certain 'level' of signal to properly track - much like the 'real' pedal if it sees a low signal strength. Perhaps increasing the 'gain' in front may help and as in the 'real' pedal these like to be early in the chain; even before dynamic filters.
