Loading External IR in AT5

Postby lorne.white » Sun Dec 20, 2020 7:27 pm

I have seen a couple references to loading external IR's in AT5. I haven't spotted it in the manual or poking around the interface. Has anyone know where it's hiding ?

When you click on the Cabinet section it should be at the top as "Custom IR"

Yes, I see it now. You can drop it on the cabinet, load the IR's and work with the settings. Too cool!

I have just seen that the Custom IR feature is described in the AT5 Custom Shop Gear models manual, not the AT5 user manual.

This I'm not seeing. So, I have a bunch of Ownhammer IRs. Where in that "Custom IR" panel do I drag an IR wav file?

Thanks!

it's in the cab section at the top of the list.

After importing my 3rd part IRs into amplitube 5, I noticed they are in one giant list, without preservation of the file/folder hierarchy that keeps my IRs organized on my hard drive.

Furthermore, the IRs are not listed in alphabetical order, rather they are randomly jumbled around. This makes it very hard to sort through a large library of 3rd party IRs to find what I'm looking for.

Is there a way to fix this, or is this functionality coming in a future update? Thank you!

Is it possible to represent IR list within loader in alphabetical order? Or maybe AT5 has an option to create a folders within loader?

I need such features because I can’t understand where are my favorite IRs in the list.

I have AmpliTube 5 Custom Shop with some additionally bought amps and cabs.
There is no Custom IR in the cab section (to load external IR). Is it only full AT5 feature?

If you mean the Volumetric Impulse Response (VIR™) , then, yes, that feature is in the paid-for editions, not the Custom Shop edition.

Have a look at the Comparison PDF on a link on this page

Hi, thanks. I mean Custom IR loader. I just sought comparison of versions and indeed, neither IR loader nor VIR is not included in AT5 CS.

I read this post before purchasing Amplitube 5 online without noticing that I was inside the "computer products" forum area - and completely missed a glaring caveat - This version with the IR loading capability IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR IPAD!! It won't do you any good until they release an upgraded IOS version. This is completely unclear from all the hype I read before purchasing...don't be a dummy like me.

Now - does anyone know when it might be available for mobile devices?

I guess I better start a new topic to ask what IOS users are supposed to do in the meantime until AT5 is mobile. I've been using Fiddlicator, Thafknar and the convolver reverb inside n-track to load IRs currently and it's kinda clunky.

How do I get to this AT5 Custom Shop Gear Models manual? I don't see any way to it in AT5. Nor in Custom Shop either. I don't have AT5 Custom Shop just the full AT5.

Hi Jack

It should've been installed at the same time (and be in the same place) as the main AT5 User Manual.

Alternatively, you can find it under My Products>AT5>Download Resources in your User Area.
