A5 installed/authorized but won't open on laptop

Postby kurt.lehman » Sat Dec 19, 2020 3:41 am

I should be good to go. Auth. manager installed and authorized A5, and, shows the software to be installed/authorized. When I click on any A5 means of starting it up, I get nothing. A4 works just fine.

Windows Home 10, 64bit, all up to date.

Other users have run into the same issue and, as mentioned above, Technical Support is aware. As I understand it there should be a fix available next week.

I was able to open in standalone before update.. now I only have DAW.
Just exits after boot screen.
I run A5 with Stomp I/O. Almost brand new computer(Inteli7).

Weird.

If you are speaking of the 5.0.1 update, please report your issue to support as this is an issue that I believe was resolved in that update. If you are not talking about 5.0.1 please update to that version.

HI Peter, I did.

Interesting thing is that I installed the updated version of A5 5.0.1 on another computer that is almost identical and it works fine.

Not sure what's going on with this computer.

I give up. I tried uninstalling(regediting to delete everything I could before installing again) 3 times, reauthorized.. will not work on this computer that initially ran version 5.0.0. Something corrupted during the update process from 5.0.0 to 5.0.1 and is not allowing the GUI to even load. I have tried WITH and WITHOUT hardware(Stomp I/O) connected.

I installed A5 5.0.1 on crappy Acer laptop from 2016.. It works (slow loading) with no issues and recognised Stomp I/O right away.

I have a ticket open, I am just adding some more data to the conversation.

Its not looking good for my computer that got initial A5 5.0.0 install and then the A5 5.0.1 update. Would be interested to see if what uninstalling 5.0.1 and reinstalling 5.0.0 would do, but I am unable to do that.

??
You can uninstall from (in Windows 7, anyway) the Control Panel / Programs and Features.

And you can find the v.5.0.0 installer in your User Area / my Products / AmpliTube 5, click the [Past Releases] button
