Trying to Record Voice

I just recently got Amplitube 4, and I'm wondering if I just can't figure it out or if it doesn't do the things I thought it would do. So far, I can only get it to record guitar tracks. I haven't found any options for premade or custom drum beats. I also can't get it to register when I plug my microphone into it. If I select the looper option, my microphone will register, but when I switch over to track recording, it doesn't register any sound through the mic. Is amplitube strictly for guitar recording? I was hoping I would be able to make songs with it.
