Will Amplitube 5 resolve the problem between IOS and OSX?

Postby pvcaesbroeck » Sun Nov 15, 2020 2:52 pm

Will there be a solution in Amplitube 5 to:
- exchange projects between IOS and OSX?
- sync presets between IOS and OSX?
- maybe cloud based system?

This would make Amplitube complete.

There has not been any announcements on this, so I suspect iOS and macOS will still be separated platforms.

Thank you for your reply, Garfy.
Here again, I hoped the M1 chip in the new Mac computers would change this.

Ok, so this is a different question really. The release information regarding the new apple chips suggests that you can use iOS apps on the macOS platform. Until those machines are actually in the wild, no one can really tell how effective that might be.

If it does work at face value, that still doesn’t necessarily mean that you can transfer say a preset or project between the iOS and macOS versions, just that maybe you can start a project on your iOS device and then carry on working on that project on your macOS device but still on the iOS app. Does that make sense?

As I say, until the tech is released, or until IKM make an announcement, it’s a bit of an unknown.

Yes, this makes very much sense. Thank you for clarifying.
Meanwhile, I just keep enjoying this magnificent app that Amplitube is, on iPad and looking forward to version 5.
