Amplitube 4 Preset switching causes horrible distortion

Postby xmanpacheco » Sat Feb 08, 2020 9:34 pm

I have this strange problem with A4 when switching presets. As I switch presets, I'll eventually start getting horrible distorted sound (not the good distortion) and it remains even if I switch to other presets. It usually happens about the 3rd or 4th preset selection and it doesn't matter which presets I switch to.

To fix it, I have to go to the sound settings and change the buffer (or some other setting, but buffer is just the easiest to change). It also doesn't matter whether I'm changing the buffer from 256 to 512 or vise versa.

Any idea what might be causing this? Below is my setup.

Windows 10
Amplitube 4 Max (latest version).
iRig Stomp IO

My guitar is hooked to my Stomp IO and my monitor speakers to also directly to the Stomp IO.

My audio settings are:

Technology: Windows Audio (Exclusive Mode)
Input: Microphone (2 - iRig Stomp IO)
Output: Speakers (2 - iRig Stomp IO)

Any insight would be appreciated.
