Using Amplitube as an effect in Garageband

Postby whitelocust » Tue Jan 15, 2019 9:35 am

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and I have a question for you.
I would like to know if you can use amplitube as fx in garageband.
I'd like to record a guitar track in garageband and add / edit the effects of amplitube later.
Thanks for the attention

Hello whitelocust and welcome to the forum.

Yes, you can do exactly as you describe. AT can be used as an effect on any kind of instrument if you want, although it is designed primarily with guitarists in mind.

It’s great for mangling up drum sounds, if you’re the experimental kind.

Thank you for your reply,
To record a clean guitar line track on GB and adding amplitube effects later I have to set amplitube as an "inter-app audio effect", is it correct?

Ahh, you're talking about GarageBand on iOS. I'm afraid I have no experience of the AmpliTube app on a mobile device.

Someone might chime in with some info for you, or you could try opening a thread on the forum specifically for the mobile apps on iOS here viewforum.php?f=18"

Hope that helps.
