Amplitube wah!

How can I set wah in amplitube to only trigger when my expression pedal is moved?

Right click the wah pedal in Amplitube, assign midi, learn Wah.

Then just move your pedal.

You can't make it turn off and on automatically just my moving the wah pedal, but you can assign midi to the on/off switch the same way.

Thanks Lav. IT was the auto-on I needed. Turns out you can't do it on ipad. Fyi you use the 0 threshold on the expression pedal as bypass so when you cock the wah all the way back it switches off.

Glad you figured it out. That's actually pretty cool. I assumed you wanted it to function like a Dunlop 95Q where it engages when you press your foot down.

Yeah that's exactly what I wanted! That's the workaround for desktop versions but I'm told it's unavailable on ipad...

I'm sure it can be done. You'll need an expression pedal with a button in it that is essentially a midi toggle. I don't know of such a thing.

Oh yeah it can. I've assigned it to one of the blueboard buttons. But I really want it to trigger when the expression pedal moves. Always hated having to trigger a wah then realising half way through the next verse that you didn't shut it off properly and it's still cocked making your chords sound horrible.
