gear credits

I have 5 remaining gear credits and tried to buy something that was 9.99. It took me to paypal and charged me the whole 9.99. I thought it was going to let me add my gear credits and just pay the remaining amount. Can that be done?

Gear Credits cannot be combined with other currencies. You'd need to purchase additional Gear Credits in order to purchase items that cost more Gear Credits than you have.
