Simulated input signal

Postby marc9889 » Fri Feb 09, 2018 9:28 pm

I'm working on fine tuning a few patches and it occurred to me that if the guitar would just play itself while I turn knobs, things would be considerably easier. Is there a way to simulate the input signal of my guitar so that I can focus on experimenting with effects?

Record a loop of DI guitar and play it back through Amplitube while twiddling the knobs? I think the standalone app has some basic recording features, while obviously this is also easy enough to do in a DAW.

If for some reason you can't record your own guitar loop, you can Google and find pre-recorded DI loops (though it's not always easy to know what kind of guitar, etc. was used to make them).
