Uno Synth Pro Arpeggiator Doesn't Work in VST

I'm running into a strange issue where my Uno Synth Pro arpeggiator works as expected when disconnected from the computer, while connected via USB in standalone editor mode, however when I load it as a VST/Audio Unit in Ableton the arpeggiator does not behave as expected.

I read the sync internal clocking issue, but this doesn't quite seem to be that as the arpeggiator works fine, but only not when I'm in a DAW ironically.

Hopefully someone else has run into this issue and can point me to the issue.

I believe this happens because the USP sends the arpeggiated notes back to your DAW over MIDI effectively overriding whatever is being played with the note-off messages. I have been in contact with support over this issue but have yet to receive a solution. Please let me know if you find a suitable workaround.
