Use of MTN Monitor as an FRFR with modelling amps

Postby H3lvellyn » Tue Jan 11, 2022 11:28 pm

I wonder if anyone has connected the iLoud MTM monitors to a digital modelling amp to use it as an FRFR cabinet.
Obviously it's not going to be usable for gigs etc at only 100W but if it functions in the same way an FRFR cabinet does it could be useful for practice.
Cheers

Of course, just like any other studio monitor.

Yes, as above - you can use them as a full range option. Note that studio monitors are typically nearfield monitors so that would be another reason you wouldn't use them for gigging :) They are meant for you to be reasonably close to the monitors and most monitors sound best at reasonable mixing levels by design.
