Pairing iLoud with Raspberry Pi via Bluetooth

Postby spotlizard » Tue Jul 06, 2021 1:52 am

Hi,
I'm wondering if someone can help me?

I have a Raspberry Pi4 and I'm trying to pair it via Bluetooth with my iLoud monitors. The problem is with the way the Pi sees some Bluetooth devices. It displays a device ID string (looks more like a MAC address than a device name). I have a LOT of Bluetooth devices in the house, so I'm having a real hard time figuring out which ID belongs to my speakers.

I don't see a sticker/plate anywhere on the iLoud that would help ID them but I know that it's often possible to ID a device by using the first few characters in an ID string to find the manufacturer. I just don't know what that looks like for IK Multimedia devices.

Does anyone have theirs paired to a Pi, or could help me figure out a way of identifying the monitors using the ID string?

My sincere thanks in advance.
