Sub with iLoud MTM

Is it not recommended to use a sub with a pair of MTMs or does that mess with the room calibration?

If you use a sub, set the crossover/cutoff based on whatever setting you use on the back of iLoud MTM and note that you would want to use full correction like ARC System 2.5 not the built-in correction.

Appreciate the response Peter. So if I program the MTMs at 60hz, then I’d only want the sub to play frequencies at 60hz and below? Does Arc 2.5 work with the microphones that come with the MTMs?

Side note: What’s the chance there’s be an XL version of the MTMs?

Anyone have a recommendation of a good sub to match up with the MTM's?

Thank you

I'm using a ESI SW-10K (set to below 50hz) with my iLouds.

It sounds pretty decent, although i'm never really sure at mixdown, wether my subs are correct.
It depends a lot on the volume of the sub.

I'd rather prefer IK coming out with a "iLoud Max" - same technology, but 6" or 8" speakers instead of the 3,5" ones.

btw. i calibrated the iLounds without the sub attached.

dunno, if that is the correct method.
maybe someone from IK can shed some light on that?

What all crossover settings did you try?

I'm curious how the MTM's did with the sub crossing at 60 or maybe at 80?
