Adding multiple grooves to FL Studio - is this right?

I'm new to FL Studio and am wondering if I'm adding grooves from MODO Drums correctly. The method I'm using works, but should I be doing it some other way?

What I'm doing is... drag/drop the VST3 MODO Drums plugin from the browser to the channel rack, dropping a groove onto the created drum channel and then assigning it to a new instrument track in the Playlist. For each subsequent groove, I'll select the current Pattern in the column to the left of the Playlist track names and select "Insert one" to create a new blank pattern. With that new pattern selected, I repeat the process (ie. drag/drop the drums plugin onto the channel rack, drag/drop another groove onto it, assign to a new instrument track, etc).

This seems overly tedious, but...maybe that's how it's done?

Thanks!
