Modo bass Control settings

New to Modo bass, and getting a custom to the "Controls:”

I'm not seeing the logic of certain choices.
Why are some parameters (like ghost mode, index stroke, and middle stroke) way down in the -1’s on the keyboard? I have an 88 key controller, and even IT doesn't go down that far.
And why do some keyboard controls overlap with playable notes?
For example, "Db slap noise" is set at c#1, and “db stop strings" is at D#1. These are playable notes when you have a 5 string. Seems like the note overrides the control, but why put it there in the first place?

Yes, I know I can customize these, but I would think it should be usable out of the box.
Or am I missing something?

Ahhh, I see, I WAS missing something.
There aren't enough notes below A0 to fit all the key switches, of which there are 17.
So I guess the idea is put on way down there, and raise your keyboard up an octave.
Also, easier to look at on a piano roll if they're all close together.

Still not getting why there are keyswitches on C#1 and D#1, though.

Because anything below E1 would not be a note on a bass guitar.
