Glynn Johns technique ?

Is it possible to mimic the Glynn Johns technique in MODO Drum ?

What I've figured out so far is to get everything where you want it in the overheads of MODO Drum then, rout the kick, snare, and overheads out to your daw.

I'm not sure it can be done. I had to route the toms to a bus in MODO Drum then, route them out to my daw(Cubase Pro12). I'm not sure where I'm messing up, it's either in the routing within MODO Drum and/or getting the levels right.
