How big is this download?

I'm on a ratty way-out-in-the-country / low-bandwidth internet connection and I'm not sure if it'll be possible. [The guy from the UN called Bell Canada's internet service "a human rights violation" ]

Might try though if it's not massive.

Cheers

I don't have a specific size yet, but it will likely be 150-200MB

OK, since it is here now it appears to be 163MB - edit this was a ballpark figure, apparently. You can expect 10-20MB more depending on your OS.

And yes I said... MODO BASS IS HERE!!!

betech01 wrote:How did you arrive at 163MB (re: Modo Bass file size)? From what I see it is 170.9 (Mac OS) & 183.6 (Win OS) MB for the downloads.

The compressed file was 163MB according to my browser when I downloaded version 1.0 from my IK User Area. Sorry if 10-20MB are going to make a huge difference, I was merely reporting what my system showed while downloading.

Can't even begin to express my disappointment that I can't get this to work in Cubase 7. Works in MuLab just fine but not Cubase.

Here is the exact message I'm getting exported from Cubase into a text file.

Cubase Warnings (Tuesday, November 29, 2016)
On loading: C:\Users\user\Documents\Cubase Projects\Work Area\Work In Progress.cpr
------------------------------------------------------

This mixer configuration expected "MODO BASS" to have Output 1: Stereo,
-> The instrument currently has Output 1: Mono,
-> Change the instrument configuration before reloading this setup.
-> The instrument channel will be silent.

------------------------------------------------------

Any ideas?

Is there a way to output an instrument to a mono audio track? Seems that would resolve the issue. If not, I'm sure the folks in support can help at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/

Yes, easy to setup. Still doesn't work.

So you're suggesting I contact support?

Yes, as it is working for me in Cubase 8.5 and they tested with multiple versions of Cubase I am sure they can get you up and running.

I have an update on this. Very strange. If I load it into a VST rack (something I never do) it plays just fine. However, if I load it as an individual VST, it doesn't make any sound. It is the oddest thing I have ever seen.

Well I have downloaded it and it works fine straight out of the box. Incredible! Exactly what I was hoping for.

I am confused by one thing. I did just order this (the VST rack workaround is acceptable) but then when I go to my order area, in addition to MODO Bass, there is all this other stuff that I didn't order.

AmpliTube 3 Custom Shop
AmpliTube Custom Shop
SampleTank Custom Shop
SampleTank FREE
T-RackS Custom Shop

Are these things actually items that have been given to me or are they just demos to see if I like them and then have to buy them if I want them?

Got a chance to run standalone and in a DAW as a plugin. Awesome amount of presets and sounds out of the box. Love the envelope filter FX.
Noticed a possible bug in resizing in DAW, since it always takes up the maximum screen size in a DAW. Not a big deal. Also wish the FX pedals were colored, ie distortion orange, etc. Would give the UI a better look with faster workflow. Maybe a simple artwork tweak, if not then too much work. Absolutely love the fact it's resizable in standalone mode :)
Also the fact Midi CC can be used with my iRig blueboard and my Behringer FCV100 pedal (no battery required for FCV100 in CV mode). Had to do magic patchbay TRS wiring to get that pedal to not be backwards using a couple mixing board TRS insert cables used for individual channel inserts. TRS into iRig blueboard and TRS into Behringher FCV100 with gray patched from first cable of Behringher FCV100 to orange on the second cable going to IRig.
