One More Time

Postby danwilson5 » Tue Jun 05, 2018 4:31 am

Hi All,

Here is another song I've done. Using the following IK plugins - British Channel, Pultec EQ, Black 76, White 2A and the new TR5 Suite.

Any comments on how to improve things would be most appreciated.

Hey Dan that is a really nice song and the melody and chord progressions are very cool and warming, I dig it.

If I may offer one criticism, I feel the vocal needs to be dropped back into the mix a bit were it can meld with the melody, at the moment it is dominating the listener to focus on the vocal alone rather than allowing an over all melody ambiance that I now this tune has to offer.

Cheers CS. 8-)

Hi CrazySchmidt,

Thank you for the advice. I have adjusted the mix as per your suggestions and I think it is sounds much better now. It took awhile because of work and picking up IK's arc2.5. I wanted to get used to it first (still a long ways to go :D ) before trying to make changes to the mix. Cool piece of software I might add.

Thanks again

Hi CraztSchmidt,

Its the same link. I used soundcloud's replace feature to replace the old mix with the new mix.

Look forward to your comments on this mix.

Hi Dan, I've just had a listen and that sounds much better, the vocal sits much more warmly into the melody now.

Nice work mate. :)

SoundCloud has a replace feature? I didn't know that, is it on the Pro version only?

Cheers, Ian.

Hi Ian Thank you for all your help in making the mix better.

I discovered the replace feature for soundcloud when remixing the song. As long as the length of the song doesn't change everything is fine. Nice feature because you do not fill up your account with multiple mixes of the same song. I don't know if this is limited only to pro version or not.

Hey Dan, how ya going?

If you're still on holiday I hope you're having fun :) , if you're back at work, my condolences. ;)

Just wanted to say thanks for alerting me to the "Replace" feature in SoundCloud, I had to sign up to pro, but it was very affordable for 12 months and that is a very cool feature that I wold have used a thousand times before if I had known about it. 8-)

Cheers buddy. :)

Hi Ian,

Back from the trip and getting ready to go back to work. Who knows I may even have some time to start another song.

Glad to hear you find the "replace" feature of sound cloud as useful as I do.
