For what purpose? Since you're on the IK forum I assume more than casual listening. Though personally I might audition something in headphones but I'd never fully mix on them.

The Sony MDR7506 is my favorite pair and "go to" phones. Of course, I like the freedom of the wireless ear buds and noise cancelation options, but for $100 (or less) they're hard to beat. I'm just a sound enthusiast and don't produce anything for human consumption. It's still fun for me to do goofy and noisy stuff....
