Roland VR 09b midi Hammond B3x

Postby aj.giles3 » Mon Dec 20, 2021 6:17 pm

I have a Roland VR 09b, and I have purchased the Hammond b3x. The Roland shows up in the controller section. The problem is there is no response. I am unable to play anything. I can't assign anything with this software. I'm frustrated. Has anyone else had this problem using the Roland VR 09 keyboard? Please help.

Hello aj.giles3 and welcome to the forum.

The first thing I would suggest to have a look at would be that the Roland is transmitting on the correct MIDI channel(s). B3X has a default of either channels 1, 2 or 3 depending on whether you want to play one of the manuals or the pedals.

Let us know how you get on.

Thank you for the response. That means a lot to me. I did check the channels. I haven't been able to get the software to respond. I have also reached out to Roland to ensure the keyboard is compatible. I'm at a total lost. I've had the same issue with using my maudio code 61 as well.

Do you have any other software that you can use to confirm that your Roland (and the M-Audio) is actually transmitting MIDI data, such as a DAW or another standalone synth?
