bass amp distortion on ipad / amplitube

Hi - new user here. when i use AmpliTube on my ipad, it is constantly distorting (fuzzy) even when i have it set for clean sounds. the problem is not my headphones.

am i doing something wrong or do i have to change certain parts of the settings?

Does your bass have active pickups? You may be overdriving your input, causing some clipping to occur. I had a Peavey Dyna-bass years ago that had active electronics. It was too hot at full volume for my solid state amp, but pushing tubes it was a beast.

it does, but i had the volume really low. will try the bypass thanks
