help with iphone 7

Hello, I have the irig 2 and an iphone 7. I never had an iphone before so this is new to me. I have tried everything I know to make the irig 2 work with the phone. i bought a dongle for the iphone. I have followed all directions yet when I use AmpliTube (or tonebridge) the iphone is using the internal microphone only and will not switch to the irig2 input. Any ideas?

Your iPhone 7 should have included a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter which you'd need to use with iRig 2.
