iPhone X Audio Out?

Postby sharan30 » Mon Apr 08, 2019 2:00 pm

Hi

I have an iPhone X (no headphone socket) and an iRig Midi. I can plug the iRig into the phone with the lightening connecter, and I can play a midi controlled piano on Garage Band (for example). But I have to listen to the result on the internal phone speakers - not a great experience!

I can use blutooth headphones, but this is too laggy.

What connector can I use to give myself a headphone socket but still allow the iRig midi to pass through? I've seen the "Belkin 3.5 mm Audio + Charge Rockstar" but I think that only allows a charge and wouldn't allow the iRig to talk to the phone.

This problem seems like an obvious one, but I can't find any was of solving it! Hoping someone out there has.

Thanks

Steve
