Im interested in either the Irig pro I/O or the HD2 for their usual recording functions...
I was wondering whether they can also function as the PCs' and/or MACs' and/or...primary audio playback device like a separate headphone dac/amp combo. cause the headphone jack on my laptop sounds terrible...
is it possible? has anyone tried that?

Thanks for your post.

The iRig Pro I/O and iRig HD 2 will both work great on Mac and PC. These will work well as your playback device. These should help provide better signal compared to your system's headphone port.
