Can I use iRig2 and Amplitube iOS while in other apps?

I have an iRig2 along with Amplitube for my iPhone 6. I plan to watch YouTube tutorial videos and play along to them so I would need to play through Amplitube while watching the YouTube videos. Is this possible?

Additional: I know iOS does not support two audio streams concurrently but if I went to YouTube, watched the video, paused it, and then played my guitar would I hear the audio from Amplitube or would I need to bring Amplitube back up into focus to refresh the audio stream?
