You are amazing! Thanks for all your help so far! It is really appreciated.

So, it can connect via usb but disconnects before the update can be completed.

Some items of interest. The BB FAT drive is 240KB and contains:

Should I delete everything from it and run the update again?

The issue, seems to be that the DEFAULT.CFG on the BB is:
Code: Select all
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000

0000 0000

(and I can't overwrite it with sublimetext)

And the KEY.CFG that the firmware appears to write is:
Code: Select all

Thats how i did with mine, but do it at your own risk :), I actually deleted not once but until it completed eventually. (During updater was running)

It was like
It gets stuck at 10%, disconnect it, reconnect it, delete files, run updater
gets stuck at 10% again, do the same, only delete the files when they are written, it then goes to 50%, gets stuck. (I deleted the files while updater is trying to do its thing)
do it again, it goes until 70% and gets stuck, etc. you get the point.

But like I said, this is risky, I do not tell how you should do it, just how I solved my issue. And I was like, meeh that thing is bricked already, anyway to make it work counts :)

Mine won't get past 40%... I've tried so much. Gonna take a rest on it!
