White noise when appyling ARC 3 filter

Postby Foxesden » Fri Dec 11, 2020 11:24 pm

I have installed ARC3 and run through the recording cycle with the MEMS microphone and Iloud Speakers on my desktop.

When I playback I can hear music at a lower level, sound better - than I get a blast of white noise along with the music.

10 seconds music - 2 seconds white noise plus music. Repeat forever.

Any ideas?

That sounds like you need to Authorise the software.

It is authorized. Or it is supposed to be, the laptop is the second device that I have authorised it to.

I would make sure it says Authorized in IK Product Manager https://www.ikmultimedia.com/productmanager and if it does, you can still try to run Authorization Manager even though Product Manager should do that part. Grab the serial from Product Manager or your IK User Area --> My Products.

Ok I will give that a try. It sounds more feasible than me just screwing up the measurements.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

No Still happening.

I am using Equalizer APO to apply the plugin, is there a (free) DAW that you recommend testing on? I am using Windows 10.

I have installed Cakewalk and got the plugin working there. Absolutely no issues at all, and I change virtual speakers etc easily. So the issue is with implementation of plugins on EqualizerApo.

I really would like to deploy this as a system-wide plugin like **another correction tool**. Ho hum.

I managed to get a system wide setup using a combination of VBCable virtual cable and PedalBoard 2 VST Host.

Set audio out to VB cable input. Add the arc plugin to PedalBoard 2 and cable up the VB Cable Output as the Arc3 Input and Send the output to your Dac.

UI is a little basic but it works fine.

Hi,

I have the same problem - white noise in authorised ARC3 VST plugin.
I've used Equalizer APO VST host and Pedalboard2 host with the same result.

Re-authorisation didn't help.
Please advise.
Thanks.

The plugin in use is "c:\Program Files\VstPlugIns\ARC 3.dll"
Win7 64 Professional.
No problem with ARC2

I see no form to fill there
after choosing Software section

Aslo I can confirm that there is no problem in Cakewalk. No noise and works as expected.
It seems the authorisation check fails for the standalone VST hosts.

Could you please check the VST dll behaviour with any of the mentioned free VST hosts.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/
http://www.niallmoody.com/apps/pedalboard2

I need DRC for the audio and video playback in Windows.

ARC 3 white noise in Pedalboard2 has been resolved by moving the app folder from disk Z: to system disk C:

No luck with Equalizer APO yet. White noise keeps popping up when the ARC 3 dll plugin being hosted by Equalizer APO vst host

Technical Support does not often scan these forums.

Go to the link above, select Software then [Search FAQ]. If searching the FAQs does not help, there is a link at the top to the Tech Support form.
