Mic Room - How to use Shure SM94

Postby powerdroid » Fri Jan 15, 2021 5:40 pm

I would like to use a Shure SM94 as a source mic for T-RackS Mic Room.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best mic to choose as the Source mic that is the closest to the SM94?

Thank you in advance.

Hello powerdroid and welcome to the forum.

Probably the best starting point will be the Condenser 84 in the Mic Room. Like the SM94 it is a small diaphragm condenser with a cardioid pickup. However, the hi end rolloff starts a lot sooner on the SM94 compared to the Neumann KM84 which I presume the Condenser 84 is modelled on.

That said, it's always best to experiment with all of the source mics in Mic Room as you may find flavours that you like better.

Hope that helps.
