T-Racks 64-bit?

Postby digimusicdoc » Sat Nov 26, 2011 12:29 am

T-Racks 3.5 provides 64-bit dll's in Win 7, but it still runs from the Program Files (x86) folder. So apparently it's still doing 32-bit processing and just providing a bridge for 64-bit. Is that correct?

The T-RackS VST plugins have a 64-bit version. The Standalone application is 32-bit, because there is no advantage to having two standalone versions, since you will not need more than 4GB RAM in standalone mode.

What about on the Mac? Are the AU versions of the T-Racks plug-ins 64bit?

Brian, I'm a bit confused.

I use TRacks 3 Deluxe 3.5.1 in both standalone mode and as an effect in Sonar X1 64 bit. My OS is Windows 7 64 bit. Could you clarify please, which of the following is/are correct:-

1. Inside Sonar as a plugin TR runs in 64 bit and so do the individual components if loaded separately.
2. Inside Sonar as a plugin TR runs in 32 bit and so do the individual components if loaded separately. Sonar uses its own Bitbridge to make them compatible with Sonar running in 64 bit.
3. TR standalone runs in 32 bit.
4. TR standalone runs in 64 bit since 3.5.1
5. Since 3.5.1 everything runs in 64 bit; both plugins and standalone.

Finally, when TR or a component is being used as a plugin, how can I check the 64 bit version is being used (if there are both 32 and 64 bit dlls.)

Thanks!

your DAW should have an ndication of whether an available plugin is x86 bridged or x64native.

What about single apps, like the 670 compressor? I have V351 but do not see 64 bit version. I have to use J bridge?

You had the option to install x64 the version that was automatically checked during setup.

Check that your DAW is looking in the correct drive path for the x64 version.

1. Yes provided you installed properly
2. Yes provided you chose not to install the 64-bit versions (or are running Sonar 32-bit)
3. Yes
4. No, it has no reason to as standalone
5. No. Only plugins as stated above by Brian. Standalone will run full-tilt, full firepower, man the torpedos, all that jazz without needing 64-bit since it is in Standalone mode without a hitch.

To your last point - you simply need to ensure you chose the correct path to your 64-bit plugins when installing and that your 64-bit host is pointed to that directory.

T-RackS 5 is 64-bit only. You would need to use a previous version for 32-bit compatibility.

T-Racks 64-bit?

Postby j_lyles » Sun Feb 10, 2019 1:00 am

I'm running Studio one the 32bit version and cannot find T-RaCKS in the effects menu anywhere.
I acquired the software to try the parallel compressor that was given away.

See above - you can only run previous older versions in 32-bit.
