T-RackS 5 crash Mac OS Catalina

Postby jeff.geology » Sun May 24, 2020 9:27 pm

Hi All

I have Mac Catalina 10.15.4 and T-RackS 5 (everything). When I launch it immediately crashes. I have tried re-installing, turning off all manner of firewall, virus protection and even disabled my Mac T2 chip security and it always behaves the same with a quit unexpectedly error below. Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

A bit more info:

It seems caught up with my old Arc System 2. I updated to Catalina then finally updated Arc 2 to 3 but the crash log shows this

Application Specific Information:
abort() called
terminating with uncaught exception of type boost::filesystem3::filesystem_error: boost::filesystem::directory_iterator::construct: No such file or directory: "/Users/*UIDremoved*/Documents/IK Multimedia/ARC System 2/Cache"

The message was different, having only part of the path then as I added each directory the crash log changed until it got to "...Cache".

I am guessing there is a settings ( a .plist ??) somewhere that T-RacksS is looking to and picking this up?

Still working this - When I removed the Arc System 2 directory From the main Library TRackS no longer crashes but now give s this via error: Can't load bundle /Library/Application Support/IK Multimedia/ARC System 2/ARC 2.vpa - At least I can click thru that. However, somewhere there is a setting that is still looking for the old VPA file and I have not found it yet.

Hope this troubleshooting helps someone. Any info appreciated.

Hi Jeff and welcome to the forums.

As this is a user-to-user forum and not direct to IKM support, in case no one else chimes in here with advice or a solution, you should raise a ticket with IK official support here https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/

They endeavour to reply within 2 working days, but obviously considering the current situation things may take longer than usual.

Thanks Garfy

I put in a ticket but since it is a Holiday (US) and with the pandemic I figure it will be a while.

Thanks Jeff

As it sounds like a very specific interconnected set of circumstances you have. Support will be the best place to go.
