T-RackS 5 wish list

Postby BobF3 » Wed Nov 01, 2017 3:15 pm

Please number the requests sequentially, so that we all know which ones we are talking about.

1. Persist stand-alone window size and layout across sessions

2. Remember last folder for opening/saving projects

3. Remember last folder for adding clips

4. Make Waveform view detachable (or add Waveform controls/loop etc. to the assembly window)

In the standalone and the TR5 Suite plug-in:

(5) ability to pop up the individual FX into their own windows so that more than one can be seen on the screen / edited at one time

(6) make the scroll bar below the FX chain layout bigger so that we can see it and grab it more easily for dragging.

(7) And the unbelievably small one to the right of the gear list:

Can you see it, let alone drag it?

All above suggestions are needed for this product to be really useful as a standalone app.

8. Option in settings to tell T5 where to look/save files. IOW where to save files or look for audio.

9. Option in settings to assign hotkey strokes for certain commands.

T-Racks Feature Request

Postby eddybee » Fri Nov 03, 2017 9:43 am

It's 2017, T-Racks is in its 5th iteration, music production software continues to evolve in amazing ways, and yet to this day, (10) none of the T-Racks compressors have a wet/dry mix knob!

Most top compressors these days include mix knobs (Klanghelm MJUC, PSP FETpressor, FabFilter Pro C 2, Waves H-Comp, TDR Kotelnikov, Cytomic The Glue, Slate VBC, Kush UBK-1, Softube FET, etc.) and I would think just to stay competitive in today's plugin market, not to mention providing users with enhanced functionality and workflow benefits, IK would want to incorporate this into at least one of its compressors.

Please IK, consider this for an upcoming update.
Thank you.

11. A volume control for the final output would be a very handy touch

12. A integration in Pro Tools category for plugins (compressors in dynamics etc...)

13. Again with protools, information of gain reduction, to see it directly in the console.

I have been told this is being addressed in an update.

I wish there was a "Burn to CD" option in the stand alone application. For mastering and album assembly it all looks good but...I'd like to be able to finish the CD not just export more files.

This had been relayed to the developers at an earlier time. The export options include files that can be easily sent to replication/duplication houses as is a common workflow, but burning one-offs and similar was requested beyond that.

14. Allow individual panes to be locked/constrained to a user selectable size(s).

For example, being able to set the plug/module pane to a fixed size would enable resizing other panes without having to go back and resize the plug/module pane again.

The process of getting the various panes to display at the sizes I want is an extremely fiddly process.

15. This would be even more robust if we could save a number of user layouts that can be readily saved/recalled. Once a set of layouts were created, getting the UI setup for a session would be fiddle free.

18. Have at least one slot available for other manufacturers' VST insert. Most of us have favourite plugins we know well and trust to do a specific job.
