LUFS and DR meters broken

Postby diaseis » Thu Oct 14, 2021 1:17 am

Hi !
It seems LUFS and DR meters do not function at all in T-Racks 5. In my case they are blocked to 0. [mod redacted: unnecessary, also please review the rules]
Am I really supposed to pay 100$ to be able to monitor LUFS in a mastering suit ?
I have to confess I'm confused and disappointed.

Which edition of TR5 do you have? TR5 Custom Shop, TR5, TR5 SE, TR5 Deluxe or TR5 MAX?

The new metering suite is available inside T-RackS 5, T-RackS 5 Deluxe, T-RackS 5 MAX as well as separate purchase. In T-RackS CS the primary metering functions - L/R Peak, RMS, Loudness and Dynamic Range - are available as part of the interface but not available as a floating window.

Thank you for your answer. I use TR5 Custom Shop, which I like a lot.I know that the metering as a floating windows is not available and that does not bother me. My problem is precisely that Loudness and Dynamic Range do not react to any audio I feed to T-Racks. L/R Peak and RMS peak react properly but LUFS and DR constantly display "00".

I tried to post a screenshot but I have to admit I don't know how to do.

In that case please raise the problem with Technical Support, especially as the text I quoted above(from the product page) says that they do work in TR5 CS.

Search the FAQs first, via here. If they do not resolve the issue, there is a red button link to the Technical Support form, for some one to one investigation and help. Response time aims to be within 2 working days (US (East Coast) Business hours, generally), but in the current circumstances please allow some more time.

And, to help others who run into a similar problem, please let us know what you did to resolve the problem. Please do not quote directly any correspondence from Support, as that may apply only to your particular circumstances and may lead others down the wrong track.

As for posting screenshots, please see: How to post images

How many tickets do I have to send for the same problem?
I have already sent a ticket but I am awaiting response from support.
I am also waiting here, on the forum, for some answers.
Thank you.
Too bad he can't use T-RackS

You only need to send one ticket, but as you stated that they had not replied to you I was merely pointing out what you can do about it.

That's fine, but this is a user-to-user forum and not for Official IK Support. Hopefully the OP will reply to you but in the meantime you should get back in contact with Support using the pointers noted in the post I linked to.
