B-3X Drawbar settings Midi Channel

Postby csolstreif » Thu May 25, 2023 8:37 pm

Hello all!

Is there a possibility to assign midi controllers to the 24 inverted drawbar settings on the left of the manuals? Unfortunately, there is no "midi learn" option when I right-click on the inverted keys, but perhaps there is another possibility?
I would like to quickly change the drawbar settings using the midi buttons on my controller, and not use the trackpad on my laptop.

Greetings,
Christoph

NO
But I have a WORKING workaround by creating multiple B3XP files and assigning them to different programs of the 9 MIDI buttons of my 2 units of M-audio Oxygen MIDI Controller.
The 2x 9 sliders also can change the drawbars at will.

Thanks! I am not sure if I understand the workaround correctly.

As there are 24 presets (12 for each manual), would you make a b3xp file for each preset?

How do you assign the b3xp to the MIDI controller button?

I only make 9 presets for each sample set. Each B3xp file triggers presets for both the upper and lower manual and also the pedal.
I follow the REAL Hammond organ way of setting presets where C, A# and B inverted keys do not store any presets.
C and A# and B have drawbars all set to 00 0000 000 so that I can use the sliders as temporary manual drawbars.
At any preset, the drawbars can be temporarily changed at will using the 2 sets of 9 sliders. Presets can also be changed using the touch screen or by using the transpose button down 1 octave to expose the "black keys" area. To recover a preset combination I just push the one of the buttons again

How do you assign the b3xp to the MIDI controller button?

I just follow section 4.1.6 of the USER MANUAL – The MIDI Program Assignments Button
