Several IK apps not opening after Catalina Security Update

Hi guys, I tried to find a more suiting, more OS related topic to leave this post but they were all locked. So I post it right here as this is related to many IK apps actually.

macOS Catalina users may be aware of that after the latest Security Update 2021-007 10.15.7 released on 25th October 2021 95% of all IK apps do not open anymore!
Especially the latest versions of Amplitube 5, Sampletank 4, T-RackS 5 etc. are affected. Funny thing was that Amplitube 4 and Sampletank 3 did open while version 5 and 4 did not anymore. Same with other IK apps.

This problem was mentioned in the Amplitube forum yesterday already and two other users facing the same problem have sent reports to the IK support. So hopefully IK can sort this out as it obviously is kind of a permission problem after the latest macOS Security Update.

Therefor - IK users on macOS Catalina 10.15.7 - DO NOT INSTALL the latest Security Update 2021-007 when prompted until IK have solved the issue!

Hi guys, by installing macOS 10.15.8 (Security Update 2021-008) all IK applications are running without any issues again.

If you have installed macOS Catalina already and you had been waiting with any updates to avoid 10.15.7, just go ahead and download the 008 Security Update from this link directly (not by your Macs automatic update function) and install it manually.

Just make sure all your IK apps are updated to the max as well and everything should be fine.
