Miroslav instruments missing notes

Postby mistergreen » Tue Dec 08, 2020 6:11 pm

I recently ran into an issue where notes are missing from instruments when selecting a particular articulation. In the 3 Trumpet Multi patch, when I select the sustain ff articulation, I lose all notes below D#3.

In the 14 Violins Multi patch, when I select the sustain ff articulation, I lose all notes below G3.

Is this a known issue and if so, how do I fix it???

Hello mistergreen

In ST4 I can confirm the same behaviour. The missing notes are 'greyed' out which means they are not included in the chosen articulation, rather than it being a technical issue. I don't know why they wouldn't be included in the artic, but as this is a user-to-user forum and not direct to IKM support, in case no one else chimes in here with advice or a reason the best thing to do is check the FAQs, via https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-su ... ck=QUICKSW

If these do not give you the answer, there is a link to the Technical Support form, for direct help from Official IK Support. They endeavour to reply within 2 working days, but obviously considering the current situation things may take longer than usual.

Thanks for the response, garfy. In MP2, for a given instrument, you can select the zone button and it highlights the range for that instrument on the keyboard. That being said, the silent notes are within the displayed zone.

I posted here hoping another user has experienced the same issue and perhaps found a solution. I have contacted support for other issues with MP2 and never got a response. This is why I came here first. Thanks again!

Technical Support is the best path; Reply to the emails asking for a progress report or further guidance. We (mostly) are mere users :)

As for Zones: in ST, a Zone in SampleTank 4 contains one or more samples that share a note range and velocity range, so you could get the appearance that you mentioned. In ST2 (and ST3?) I recall that a Zone had only one sample (for each velocity range?)
