SampleTank 4 and Logic Pro 10.5 and 10.6

I am unable to load samples in sampletank when used as a plugin within Logic Pro 10.5 and 10.6. However, works fine as a standalone.

I am unable to find out what the problem is. I have uninstalled it and redownloaded it but still does not work.

Does anyone else use it successfully in logic 10,5 or above? I'd just like to know so I can decide whether to keep trying or to give up.

I haven't gone to LPX10.6, but I can run LPX10.5 and ST4 without issue.

When you say you can't load samples, are you talking about making your own instruments with imported samples, or the presets that come with ST4?

What does the GUI look like when you open it in LPX?

Hi. When I click 'load instrument' it takes me to blank categories and there are no instruments to select. However, in the standalone version all the instruments are there. For some reason it can't find the instrument files but only from within logic. If you can run it in logic 10.5 it seems that it is something wrong with the way it is installed although strange that it works as standalone but not within logic.

That's the weirdest thing really. What OS are you on?

IKM have had their apps Catalina compliant for over a year now. As long as you are running SampleTank v4.0.9 or higher, the OS is catered for.

Have a look at this FAQ on permissions, which may also be applicable to your situation (although it's a long shot seeing as you're working as expected in standalone). https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index. ... UyMHBybw==

If that's not the fix, then I would suggest you open a ticket with Official IK Support for some one-to-one help. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/sw/

Hope that helps.
