Hi there, considering a jump from ST3 to ST4 max. I was wondering if anyone uses this library from an external HD. I’d most likely get an ssd in usb 3 ports. Computer specs i7 multicore 16 gigs ram win10 1 tb ssd internal drive

I use external drives on Windows 10 for SampleTank 3/4, Syntronik and and Miroslav now have SSDs but used to use ordinary drives. I have no issues SSD is faster when loading but non SSD was OK.

+1 for externals for 2 reasons:

1) IK content would've eaten my 500GB internal SSD for breakfast
2) It's useful if I need to swap over onto my laptop to work.

SSD would be my recommendation too.

I still use a mechanical HDD for my external drive and it works well but if you can go SSD definitely do so.
