Thanks. But if i donot use the usual C drive path for ST4 and ST3 sound contents then they are not being found by ST4. Any ideas? any help?
keeping sounds in SSD loads them faster

The concept shown in the FAQ should still help here. Make sure to look through the information to get a better grasp on how SampleTank 4 looks for the sounds.

The main goal is retaining the folder/file structure needed for SampleTank 4 to see your sounds. See the example below for a quick recap and then refer to the FAQ for full information. If needed our support team is here to help.

https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/

For example (and this is elaborated on in the FAQ), SampleTank 4 requires a sound content path for both SampleTank 3 and SampleTank 4 separately. These paths should have sub folders in them, these folders should have the following titles.

SampleTank 3 content path sub-folders:

Arpeggios
Effect Presets
Exported Patterns
Imported Instruments
Imported Samples
Instruments
Library Info
Multis
Patterns
Samples
Sets

SampleTank 4 content path sub-folders:

Instruments
Library Info
Multis
Patterns
Samples
Sets

so you are saying if I copy the files from C and place them in my SSD drive in the following format (s mentioned in https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/?id=1235), it will load the sounds?

Yes. The SampleTank 3 and SampleTank 4 sounds are not required to be stored in any set location. The only important part about moving your sounds is making sure you're moving the top directory (With the sub folders mentioned in my last reply). Outside of that, changing your path in the SampleTank 4 settings should get you working immediately.

SampleTank 3 will operate very similar to SampleTank 4. Just make sure to keep the information from the FAQ and my above reply in mind.

I am totally at a loss,

My C drive path for ST3 is this; ;: C:\Users\Public\Documents\IK Multimedia\Sampletank3
and my C drive path for ST4 is C:\Users\Public\Documents\IK Multimedia\Sampletank4

I copied both from \IK Multimedia\Sampletank3 & IK Multimedia\Sampletank4 to the root of my F drive (SSD), but only a few of the ST3 sounds are being loaded!!!!
