Out Routing with Cubase and AUdient

Postby Michel Guyot » Thu Jan 30, 2020 7:15 pm

Win 10
Cubase Pro 10
Audient ID44

When I use Sampletank (ST) as a SVTi in Cubase.
I open a Midi track and affect it to (let's say) ch1 of ST to create a Drum part.
I open a second Midi track and affect it to ch2 of ST to create a bass part.
Then Cubase creates a VSTi track (only one) called OUT 1-2 because :
I check ST and all channels go out on "OUT 1-2"
My Audient offers 4 outs 1L/2R---3L/4R.
But I want to use only 1L-2R.
What do I have to do in ST OR Cubase to have each instrument on two separate out tracks in the mix console.
The solution I found is to put twice ST as a VSTi and then I get in cubase 2 vst tracks: OUT 1-2 and OUT 1-2 (2) That way I can mix the volumes of each instrument separately in the mix console.
But It becomes really two heavy for the computer . So in the end I am forced to increase the buffer sizes and it's not so good for the latency.

Any idea???
