SampleTank 4 max and syntronik

Postby downunderdigital » Fri Jul 19, 2019 9:06 pm

Greetings from down under.
I just bought st4 max on USB. Syntronik is not on the USB or in my account.
Is this correct. I thought syntronik and it’s instruments was included in the max version?
Cheers. Dennis

Hi downunderdigital and welcome to the forum.

Syntronik is not included in the ST4MAX package and needs to be bought separately. It can be accessed through ST4 however, once installed.

Hope that helps.

Hello garfy

Thank you for your reply.
I will buy it as It is on sale at the moment.
For it to work with ST 4 Max do I just need to have it's path scanned or does it need to be imported? I'm a long time user of sampletank and also have Xpansion Tank, Sampletron, Sample Moog, Sonik Synth 2 etc :D
Is it the same process to use these products inside of ST4?

thanks again,
Dennis

No need to import as it is a SampleTank 3 format instrument already.

When you unpack and run the Syntronik installer, it will install the sound content to the default SampleTank 3 folder (obviously if you have moved this already to a secondary drive you will need to direct the installer accordingly).

Once the content has been installed, make sure ST4 shows the correct pathway for SampleTank 3 folder and rescan. Your Syntronik instruments should then show up in ST4.

Hope that helps.

This might help too:
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?category=11&topic=sampletank-3-instruments#st3 Click on "I can't find" then on "SampleTank 4 and associated libraries".

You will see that in ST4 you can specify multiple disk paths - one for the ST4 library and one for the ST3 (including Syntronik and any Imported librtaries, Xpansion Tank, Sampletron, Sample Moog, Sonik Synth 2 etc).

ST4 does not have an Import function (maybe one day???), so keep ST3 installed.
