Link to already downloaded sounds?

Old computer died but the sounds were on an external drive. New computer -> installed Sample Tank 3 and in the plugin interface I hit Settings and browse to the disk path for the sounds - but nothing appears in the plugin. No Instruments or other data.

There has to be a way to link the plugin to already downloaded sounds, right?

You are correct, you should be able to point a new installation of ST3 to the content files on an external/secondary drive if they are already there.

Just to clarify, you are pointing ST3 at the installed "Sampletank 3" folder itself and not any further into the hierarchy, ie Samples or Instruments?

Also, you have authorised your new installation of ST3?

Yes - just pointing to the SampleTank3 folder.

Actually, another thing you can try is to refresh the database.

In the main panel, on the left hand-side just above the macro knobs, there is a circular arrow. Hit that and it is meant to rebuild the instrument list. It might work, if not then a ticket is your best option.
