Thank you Garfy for help and your time, I will write how I solved this problem when IK answers.

I wonder how it works, that only one preset reads well ;)

Well, that's the bit that I can't work out. If everything is in the correct place and Syntronik can see that one preset, it should be able to see them all.

Thanks @garfy - your assistance got me up and running. Much appreciated.

I think the installer could make this much easier by asking where you would like to install the sample library so you can pick a different drive. Installing each of the individual sounds is a lot of work as well, ideally that would be done within the VST more automatically. Hopefully the developers will read this and make improvements.

Thanks again.

No problem, glad you're up and running.

IK's 'multiple download/install' procedure is somewhat of a talking point currently on the forum  I can definitely see where some users are coming from, but I've also had issues with automatic downloaders/installers with other software companies, so it's kind of a rock and a hard place situation.

In the case of IK, I presume the reason for these individual downloads is because of the Custom Shop system where you can buy instrument packs/guitar gear/effects processors on an ad-hoc basis, but I guess the developers could introduce a download manager of some sort. I know that all of the suggestions from users have been passed on to the devs, so it may be something that gets changed in the future.

Yes it is definitely a point of discussion (and has been before) but it does really need to be done right if done, as we definitely don't want people having issues with a download manager as we've seen that come up on the forums and social media too. It isn't a lose/lose situation though, as long as it is done well - and I know the devs and product managers are aware of this request and would only do it if we can do it in a way that is best for the IK users.

Hello,
did you just let this folder (in "Documents" ) empty or did you have to transfer all the files from MAC HD>Users>Shared>IkMultimedia>Sampletank3 etc... ???

1. Create this disk path and transfer all files.

MAC HD > Users > Name > Documents > IK Multimedia > Syntronik

2. Set the disk path and hit Rescan Instruments in Syntronik Settings.

This is correct disk path for Syntronik in my case.

[mod redacted - unnecessary]

On macOS Catalina 10.15.7
Had the free version of Syntronik, the standalone worked just fine, the plugin would not register, even though IK Product Manager/Authorization Manager checked ok.
Problem solved:
Get SampleTank 3 - or
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/sampletank3/

Fully functional free version also available - but it's called SampleTank Custom Shop.
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/sampletankcs/

Download, install & register.
Disk path> Machintosh HD/users/Shared/IK Multimedia/SampleTank 3
Now works.
