imported legacy library loops not syncing in ST3 [resolved]

Postby si.mel.g » Fri Jan 12, 2018 6:14 am

I've just imported the 'seventies retro grooves' legacy library from Sonic Reality into ST3, but the loops don't sync to host tempo.

After looking for the 'sync' control that was obvious in ST2.5, I eventually found it was in the preferences to have loops sync, which was on. Investigating further I saw that all the patches in the ST3 Loops category work as expected, and there is a little 'loop' icon beside each one, which isn't present in the imported legacy library.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

OK I just fixed my own problem!

I looked at the files for the loops in the ST3 library. They all have the bpm of the loop, and the fact that it IS a loop specified in the name, like 'preset name 100 bpm_LP.st3i'

I duplicated the file of the imported instrument I wanted to use, and renamed it in that fashion, and it works as expected now. HURRAH!
