Basses not playing all notes

Postby » Thu Apr 08, 2021 1:38 pm

I have a midi bass track and I output that track to SampleTank 4 proper midi channel etc. with just about every bass instrument I have tried, it appears to not be playing many of the notes, i.e. mostly on the lower end. I change to another VST, such as Garritan library Jazz and Big Band for instance, and the bass plays perfectly. Is there a setting that I am missing, do I need to edit something on the bass instruments etc. from IK Multimedia. I have Total Studio Max 2, so I have all the instruments included with that, which is a lot, and have not found a bass yet that seems to work? Maybe I am missing something, but this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me in years of this kind of work.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I am sorry to hear about the problems you are running into.

As this is primarily a user to user forum, someone-else may chip in. But please remember that the same symptoms do not necessarily mean the same problem.

Can you post a few specific examples so that other users can check themout and confirm / refute the problem?

Meanwhile, the best thing to do is contact Support, via here. If they do not resolve the issue, there is a link at the top of the Search FAQs page to the Technical Support form, for some one to one investigation and help.

Response time aims to be within 2 working days (US (East Coast) Business hours, generally), but in the current circumstances please allow some more time.

And, to help others who run into a similar problem, please let us know what you did to resolve the problem. Please do not quote directly any correspondence from Support, as that may apply only to your particular circumstances and may lead others down the wrong track.

PS: it would be best to change your Account Name away from an email address, to minimise the chance of it being harvested by web bots and you receiving all sorts of 'special offers', bank account verification requests, Internet Disconnection notifications, Amazon Prime renewals, Ray-Ban sunglasses, tax refunds etc from all over the place for years and years. You can change it here.
DarkStar ... interesting, if true.
