iPad Intermittent (not) charging with iRig PRO I/o andPSU 3A

IT was working like a charm, iRig PRO I/O, with MIDI, and connected to my iPad in GarageBand, charging the iPad, but suddenly it charges like for a half a second and does not charge for another half a second, and so on, the charger icon in the iPad gets crazy and actually gets discharged.

The midi, and audio of the iRig works though.

Anyone with a similar problem?

Never thought that a 50€ charger could last for a week only (used at home)...
