AXE I/O One Audio Delay & Bad sound

Postby sharkemir » Sat Feb 22, 2025 8:52 pm

Hello,

I am having some problems with my IK Multimedia AXE I/O One.
first i installed IK Product Manager application and i guess the driver was installed when i installed control panel from hardware section. operating system 24h2 windows 11.

1)i can get sound but for example when i pause/stop listening to something on youtube and restart it after a few minutes the sound comes back after about 10 seconds. it's like the sound card goes to sleep after not using it for a while. (windows settings for putting usb devices to sleep are all off, power options high performance etc.)
2)sometimes when listening to something the sound goes on and off for 1 or 2 seconds.
3)most importantly in the amp plugins I use , no matter what I do the sound is always really harsh and distorted. the harsh clipped buzzing type sound is like a really bad distortion pedal. in short no matter which plugin I use it sounds like crap. as if there is a distortion pedal on or an EQ in the background. i turned the input gain on the product all the way down...when the plugin is open and when i open youtube from the browser (or something else) the sound of both goes on and off for 1-2 seconds.

I deleted and reinstalled everything. I didn't use any extra drivers.

my old sound card never had any problems like this. it's upsetting to have this with this product and I don't know what to do. it's extremely annoying.

i think it might be a driver problem but since there is no downloadable driver on website i can't try any older or newer versions. i can't find where to check if there is a firmware update.

I look forward to your help as soon as possible.
